Frontend software and UI developer

Liligo.com is a continuously developing company in the fast-moving world of online travel with offices in Paris, France and Budapest, Hungary.

Our goal is to help people find travel deals by enabling them to compare offers from hundreds of different websites.

We are developing a product used by hundreds of thousands of people. As a Frontend Software and UI developer you will work on this product with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Software Developers in a team. You will be based in Budapest.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the frontend software and web user interfaces of our products
• Define backend software development requirements for a specific task or project
• Work with Project Managers and help them build realistic project plans
• Complete your work corresponding to the project plan and specification while you maintain the quality of your delivery

Qualifications:

• 1+ years AJAX and DOM scripting (JS) experience (even coding from scratch!) with a solid understanding of:
  • the concept of Model-View-Controller development
  • modern JavaScript frameworks (Prototype, JQuery or YUI)
  • unobtrusive javascript
  • object-oriented programming
  • source control management (CVS, SVN or Git)
• 2+ years experience with site-building with a solid understanding of:
  • general CSS principles such as the tableless design, etc
  • cross-browser coding
  • usability and accessibility on the web
  • internationalization, and SEO optimization
  • templating languages (e.g. Velocity, Smarty, Django template)
• Ability to effectively multi-task and be well organized
• Learn Fast and apply it easily
• Good collaborative, interpersonal, communication (both English and Hungarian) and team interaction skills
